2009

Where It All Began

Our story begins with CAR Technologies, a Tier 1 advanced battery lab focused on hybrid and EV cars. CAR Tech was a partnership with Ohio State's Center for Automotive Research and kicked off with a multi-million dollar grant from the State of Ohio's Third Frontier Fund.

2014

Scaling to Full Pack Validation

CAR Technologies kicked off full automotive pack design and production validation testing for major industry OEMs.

2019

Trusted Automotive Partnership

Recognizing the unparalleled engineering quality and value of CAR Technologies, a Big 3 auto OEM selected our lab to serve as their exclusive advanced battery test facility.

2022

Acculon Energy Is Born

CAR Technologies and Technicity LLC's battery prototyping division combine to form Acculon Energy, Inc.

2022

Series A Investment

Terex Corporation leads our Series A, fueling advanced battery programs for industrial and commercial OEMs.

Innovation Center Opens

We open the Module Innovation Center at our Columbus, Ohio campus, anchoring early product development.

2024

CORE Battery System Architecture Introduced

We unveiled sodium-ion products and our modular, scalable CORE battery system architecture.

2025

Eco Battery Investment Accelerates Growth

Eco Battery made a significant investment in Acculon, supporting the company’s expansion of U.S.-based battery system innovation and manufacturing.

New Manufacturing Facility Opens

We open our state-of-the-art 2GWh Mason, Ohio facility, scaling American-made battery production.
